The airport has developed an ingenious touchless elevator control system based on infrared technology. As part of local technical innovation aimed at creating quick solutions to complex problems, the developers used a series of infrared sensors to detect the spatial position of the user's finger as it passes through the sensor plane.

Tested in one of the elevators at the departure floor, users of that elevator can now wave their hand closer to the sensor to call the elevator at whatever floor they are standing on. Once inside the elevator, they can point toward the floor number as a command for the designated floor.
The sensor can detect interaction from a distance of 0.1-10 cm from the button surface, allowing users to make their selection without any physical contact.
With the success of the pilot project, the airport is moving ahead by allowing all passenger elevators throughout the airport terminal to undergo this automation process.
According to the press release, this airport is known for its many digital measures and advanced technology-friendly features to provide convenience for passengers, and is also an airport that fully supports electronic boarding.
